Gear Keeper’s full-featured instrument retractor line securely hangs a Bar Code Scanner from a forklift or packaging/assembly line offering workers with easy accessibility in use and secure storage when not in service. In addition to the durable and compact design of the retractor mechanism, each unit includes the patented Q/C-II connector that allows quick and easy disconnection of the instrument from the tether. When the retractable tether is extended for use, only minimal force is necessary thereby avoiding worker fatigue or in the reverse, causing a ”kick” when the instrument is safely guided back to the secure storage position.Retraction forces and extension lengths are load tested and matched for the weight of the instrument. The retractors are constructed with nylon line w/Kevlar core and 80# break strength, stainless steel spring and hardware.
