Rotary Encoder Achieves Excellent Thermal Position Stability

Description

ERO 2000 kicks off a series of modular rotary encoders taht have a very compact design, excellent signal quality and therefore high interpolation rates, as well as excellent thermal position stability, and will fill various mechanical envelopes and a variety of applications, such as piezo and galvanometer motors, micro positioning for goniometers, spindles, and other metrology. The design include a scanning unit and two types of scales, which contain a 20-micron graduation with a full circle and segment of a circle. The mechanical speed limit for the disks is up to 14,000 rpm. The circular scales, the current version has 2,500 lines per revolution with19-mml outside diam. The largest version will have a 151-mm outer diam with 23,000 lines per revolution.
