SERIES 9 ULTRASONIC SENSORS FOR LEVEL MEASUREMENT AND PARTS POSITIONING
Description
For a range of industrial level measurement or positioning applications involving detection of small parts, Baumer has introduced its family of Series 9 ultrasonic sensors designed to precisely and reliably measure the presence and levels of solids, liquids, granules or powders irrespective of color and opacity. These devices are capable of sensing through openings as narrow as 3.3 mm with 0.1 mm resolutions.
Measuring less than 9 mm wide, Baumer Series 9 sensors can be arranged in-line to scan multiple rows of targets – such as tablets or capsules placed in blister packaging – and can take many measurements at once. With an extremely short, seven millisecond response time, these sensors offer fast scanning rates, minimizing processing time.
These robust sensors offer a long and reliable operating life immune to damage from vapors, acids, alkalis and other contaminants. Series 9 sensors are not affected by the color, transparency, or reflectivity of the target surface, and are resistant to both dust and light.
Series 9 sensors can be used in laboratory automation, medical devices, pharmaceutical processing, packaging, food/beverage processing, printing equipment, wood processing and other industrial applications
