Serpent™ Ventilated Safety Helmet Helps Prevent Dangerous Overheating with the CoolSense™ Air Flow System

Description

According to the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), workers in hot environments face the risk of heat stress; the frequency of accidents appears to be higher at warmer jobsites; and working in a hot environment can lower the mental alertness and physical performance of employees. If preventive measures are not taken, such as promoting the evaporation of sweat, heat stress can result in deadly heat stroke. Gateway Safety’s NEW Serpent™ Ventilated Safety Helmet helps offset the adverse effects of working in hot weather. Its CoolSense™ six-vent air flow system lets heat escape, keeping workers cooler. A soft, cushioned brow pad helps absorb moisture and perspiration. These cool comfort features help ensure worker compliance. Serpent is ultra-comfortable and incredibly light––just 13.1 ounces––with a sleek-looking, snake-head shell design that workers will actually want to wear. A six-point nylon suspension and durable but lightweight high-density polyethylene material provide both comfort and exceptional impact absorption. Serpent is available with a pin-lock or ratchet suspension, which adjusts to fit 6-5/8 to 8-¼ head sizes. A rain trough helps divert water from workers’ faces. Please note that the Serpent safety helmet complies with the ANSI 89.1 Standard for Type I, Class C helmets only. It should not be used by electricians or by people who work around highly conductive equipment.
