SLEEVE COUPLING ASSURES PRECISE SHAFT ALIGNMENT

A new precision sleeve coupling that is designed for use on supported shafts and maintains concentricity to within .001 TIR is being introduced by Stafford Manufacturing Corp. of Wilmington, Massachusetts. Stafford’s Precision Sleeve Coupling features a solid center section that provides a close tolerance fit on ground shafting, includes a keyway, and the Accu-Clamp™ design which incorporates integral self-centering clamping collars at both ends. Designed for use on supported shafts, it maintains <.001 TIR concentricity while in use to assure precise shaft alignment. Available in 6 sizes from 1/2" to 1-1/2” I.D., Stafford’s Precision Sleeve Coupling is machined from steel as a standard product line and is offered as a special in aluminum and stainless steel. Applications include medical instruments, processing equipment, and high speed packaging systems.
