SMALL SOLAR PANEL EXTENDS PHOTOEYE BATTERY LIFE UP TO TWO YEARS

Description

When the SP-44 Solar Panel is installed to receive maximum sunlight, it keeps a 9VDC floating charge on the P44’s alkaline battery during daylight hours. Essentially, the P44 emitter and its circuitry are powered by the solar panel during the day, and by the battery at night. A green LED on the P44 emitter indicates the power-on condition. With proper power applied, the detection distance between the P44 emitter and its receiver can be up to 50 feet. Whenever the photoelectric beam between the emitter and receiver is blocked, the receiver activates a relay that can be used for applications such as garage door reversal, electrical mechanism shutdown, and other safety functions. The receiver is immune to incidental light up to an intensity of 5000 lux at 3000°K.
