Smart Sprockets

Tsubaki Smart Tooth sprockets allows customers to identify and schedule drive system maintenance before critical component failure occurs. The technology uses unique wear indicator pins located on one or more of the sprocket teeth that allow users to easily identify if the sprocket needs to be replaced.

Understanding when to replace a Smart Tooth sprocket is simple: friction from chain pressure wears down the material of a sprocket tooth and when the Wear Indicator pin becomes visible, it is time to replace the sprocket. These wear indicator pins come standard on three sprocket teeth, ensuring that they are visible on any application no matter which part of the sprocket is covered.
