Spray & Go Foam Systems

With hot summer heat around the corner, building owners, facility managers and homeowners alike will be paying more attention to energy savings and the efficiency of their building envelope. Whether it’s a remodeling project or new construction, DAP recommends pros consider the use of 2-component foam sealants or ready-to-use spray foam products to improve occupant comfort and ensure both cooling (and heating) energy efficiencies.

For insulation projects, DAP recommends its 2-component professional foam systems. Touch ’n Foam Professional 2-Component Spray Foam Kits are portable, self-contained dispensing systems. The 2-component polyurethane spray foam kits provide thermal insulating and sound attenuating benefits and are low pressure, permanent and dry within minutes of application.

Touch ’n Foam Professional Spray Foam Kits use disposable, pressurized chemical cylinders that dispense polyurethane spray foam, eliminating the need for external air compressors, pumping equipment or dry nitrogen. These systems provide quick and easy foam application for repairs and renovations, new installations and production applications. The professional 2-component foam kits from DAP are:

• Touch ‘n Foam Pro System 200 provides up to 200 board feet* of polyurethane spray foam that, when applied, dries in 60 seconds. Ideal for medium size projects such as sealing basement sill plates/band joists.  A convenient “Rip ‘n Go” panel on the top of the carton removes for access to a carrying handle for easier portability.
• Touch ‘n Foam Pro System 600 comes complete with color-coded hoses, ergonomic foam applicator, and all the necessary tools to get started. The system provides up to 600 board feet* of polyurethane spray foam. Designed for larger insulating projects (up to 2 inch fills), sealing, patching and filling applications, the System 600 provides a quick, consistent flow of foam with rapid curing (60 seconds) to insulate attic rafters or stud wall cavities, gaps, cracks, expansion joints and other sources of air leakage.

For smaller jobs around the home, DAP suggests the following easy-to-use, reusable products:

• For larger gaps, MaxFill™ Triple Expanding Sealant provides three times the expansion for an air-tight seal for gaps greater than 1 inch wide to fill gaps and voids all around the home.
• For smaller gaps, Home Seal™ is an all-purpose foam offering an exclusive all-season formula that allows it to be applied in temperatures ranging from 30°F to 120°F.
• To protect living spaces from pests such as mice, birds, bats, tree squirrels, ants, roaches, spider and bees, Mouse Shield™ foam seals cracks inside garages, attics and basements, dries in four hours, and also insulates to help save on energy. Its proprietary formula with EPA registered ingredient utilizes an odor that is offensive to and blocks mice and other pests.
• For around windows and doors, Touch 'n Foam No Warp^® Window & Door Sealant is specially formulated to air seal without exerting pressure that can be detrimental to window or door frame stability.
