Ultra-Miniature Power Supplies

Now available from MicroPower Direct, the MPL-05SEUP series is a family of ultra-miniature, 5W AC/DC power supplies. These power supplies are specifically designed to provide the small package, robust features and safety approval required for a variety of board level applications where performance requirements are high; but space is limited. As part of our “Cost Cutter” product series, they are offered at very low cost.

Six standard models operate from a universal input of 85VAC to 264 VAC; providing regulated single outputs of 3.3, 5, 9, 12, 15, or 24 VDC. They may also be used in high voltage DC/DC applications with an input of 100 to 400 VDC. Standard features include tight line/load regulation, continuous short circuit protection, and an I/O isolation of 3,000 VAC. All models are approved to EN 60950.

The MPL-05SEUP has a Class II input. This means it can be used without an earth ground connection, an advantage for remote or portable equipment that is often used in applications where a reliable ground may not be available. The MTBF (per MIL HDBK 217F) of the MPL-05SEUP series is greater than 300 khours. The series is RoHS compliant.

The MPL-05SEUP series is packaged in an ultra-miniature open SIP package. Each model is specified for operation over the wide operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C (ambient). The pin-out is industry standard.
