VIBRATION TRANSMITTER FOR HAZARDOUS AREAS
Description
The Balmac Model 140 Vibration Transmitter Series are two-wire, loop-powered velocity-type sensors that provide a 4-20 mA signal that is proportional to vibration. The 140 Series feature a 1-inch NPT pipe thread that fits a rated 90-degree capped elbow conduit that meets UL and CSA approval requirements for use in hazardous areas.
The 4-20 mA output is compatible with PLC’s and digital control systems to provide continuous monitoring of fans, motors, pumps, compressors and other critical rotating machines. Continuous monitoring of machine vibration levels provides early warning and detection of problems such as unbalance, bearing wear and misalignment.
The Model 140 Series is available in velocity ranges of 0-1, 0-2 and 0-5 inches per second. The Model 140-T Series is the same transmitter with a Terminal Strip for wiring.
