Wireless Pulse Counters Offer 10-Years of Data Collection


Battery-powered, 10-year-life, two-channel wireless pulse counters monitor and record dry-contact pulses from submeters and utility meters to record consumption. Using a 32-bit, cumulative pulse counter for each channel, system records and reports data via a battery-powered wireless radio compatible with the company's secure wireless 2.4 GHz mesh network.


The compact pulse counters are easy to install—the installer simply initiates a radio transmission, receives LED indication, and confirms a successful radio transmission. The units have a warrantied 10-year battery life and continue counting pulses even if the radio is unable to transmit data. Non-volatile memory maintains the last reading if transmission is interrupted due to power failure.


The battery-powered wireless pulse counter is available with a LCD display (model M54232) or without a display (model M54230), and both models support water, gas and BTU meters. H2O Degree continues to offer the M54130 line-powered 4-channel pulse counter that also functions as a repeater in the H2O Degree wireless mesh network.

  • The M54232 pulse counter with display is configured using an Android phone with OTG capability and a proper USB OTG cable.


  • By using a magnet, the installer can force a radio transmission and receive a LED sequence feedback on radio connectivity in real time.


  • By pressing a display button, the display shows both Channel 1 and Channel 2 readings, units and scale factors.


  • Types of packet data reported:
    • Consumption packet (60 minute interval default)
    • Health packet (120 minute interval default)


  • Non‐volatile memory maintains last reading in the event of a power failure
