XMT 450 MPa Multiprocess Welder
Description
The XMT 450 MPa multiprocess welder is an inverter-based power source that features more amperage, power efficiency, and programs for Pulsed MIG welding with up to .052 and 1/16-in. wires. Rated at 450 A at 100% duty cycle, the unit:
- Improves productivity with increased amperage and duty cycle, allowing workers to weld or gouge longer and with larger diameter wires and electrodes.
- Improves power efficiency, reducing energy costs and allowing companies to run more welding equipment off existing power.
- Simplifies the user interface and controls for ease of operation.
- Offers synergic Pulsed MIG welding capabilities when matched with 74 MPa Plus and AlumaFeed feeders and an XR-AlumaPro or XR-Pistol MIG gun. As the welder manipulates the wire feed speed on the gun, the system automatically adjusts pulse parameters as the welder is working to match that wire feed speed. This allows the welder to weld on thick or thin materials without having to change multiple parameters.
Ideal for work in fabrication, construction, shipbuilding, truck and trailer manufacturing, and maintenance and repair operations, the XMT 450 MPa also features remote control capabilities. The XMT 450 MPa is also compatible with voltage-sensing wire feeders for MIG and Pulsed MIG applications.
