Quickly reading codes on packages with face-down labels, the DataMan 470 Bottom-Side Barcode Reading System is designed for solving high-speed, complex material handling applications in retail distribution and e-commerce fulfillment centers. Using an innovative, area-scan-based approach allows the system to decipher 1D and 2D codes faster than tradition line scan technology.
Enhancing efficiency and increasing throughput, the system captures images and executes patented algorithms simultaneously. The readers deliver faster results while reducing the distance between the reader and the divert.
Positioned under the conveyor and weighing just 35 lb. (15.9 kg), the system readers decipher codes as packages pass over a gap in the belt. Also, the system can be installed individually or as part of a multi-sided tunnel in just 30 minutes.
