FLAME-RETARDANT HOSES FOR AIR HANDLING

Several types of flexible hose and ducting from Hi-Tech Duravent are flame-retardant to UL94V-0 and are UL recognized products for safety-critical air handling applications such as ventilation, filtering, and fume evacuation. Versatile 2PN and TD-S/TD-HS flexible hoses are ideal for confined spaces, shipyard applications, bag houses, solvent recovery systems, etc. Hoses are available in standard 25-foot lengths and can be cuffed for easy installation and tighter seals. 2PN, a polyester hose coated with neoprene and reinforced with a wire helix, provides superior durability for positive- or negative-pressure movement of light particles or materials as well as for blower, exhaust, or smoke-removal systems in car washes, shipyards, welding sites, etc. Withstanding service temperatures from –40° to 250° F, 2PN is available in one- or two-ply versions in diameters of 1-24 inches, with or without cuffed ends, and can be specially fabricated for static-discharge or non-conductive applications. TD-S/TD-HS, a one- or two-ply vinyl laminate polyester hose with an enclosed helix of spring steel for excellent flexibility, features a heavy-duty wearstrip that resists abrasion in temporary or mobile applications requiring the hose to be dragged. Withstanding service temperatures from –40° to 180° F, these UL-recognized hoses are available in diameters of 3-12 inches as well as custom diameters and lengths. Hi-Tech Duravent offers several other products to meet other flame-retardant applications and/or specifications for the transportation industry (FMVSS 302) and blower and heater markets.
