MULTI-CUT” HIGH-PERFORMANCE END MILLS DESIGNED FOR UNIVERSAL MILLING APPLICATIONS

Description

Today, Emuge Corp. has introduced the MULTI-Cut™ line of high-performance solid carbide roughing end mills. MULTI-Cut Tools are engineered for optimum performance in a wide variety of materials such as cast iron, titanium, titanium alloys, and steel materials up to 44Rc hardness. Due to the progressive edge profile and variable helix technology, MULTI-Cut can achieve material removal rates five to ten times that of conventional end mills. For example, a _” diameter tool machining P20 steel is capable of removing in excess of 20 cubic inches of material per minute. (To see video of this application and to access additional technical information on the MULTI-Cut program, go to www.emuge.com/multicut) MULTI-Cut Tools are made from select micro-grain carbide to provide maximum cutting performance and tool life. They feature variable flute spacing and pitch to minimize vibrations, even at high speeds and aggressive cutting depths. The unique chip-breaker technology provides optimum chip evacuation and a patented roughing profile enables short-duration chip contact. A flattened shank design ensures stability in tool clamping, for enhanced process safety. “MULTI-Cut End Mills provide our customers with an extremely versatile, high-performance cutting solution,” said Mr. Stephen Jean, Milling Products Manager at Emuge Corp. “This unique line of end mills allows us to offer a single tool that is capable of efficiently machining a broad range of materials.” Three MULTI-Cut tool configurations are offered, including a short design for optimum stability in slotting operations and two long designs; one that features extended flute lengths and another that features extended length shanks. Tools are available in 4-20mm and 1/8-1 inch diameter sizes. MULTI-Cut Ends Mills join a comprehensive line of solid carbide tools that are precision-manufactured for optimum performance, durability and tool life. The expanded end mill line reflects the expertise and manufacturing techniques developed over 90 years of application research and continuous product enhancement.
